If you currently have an AT&T cell service contract or had one at any time since May 2013 and are the account holder, you are eligible to assign your claim.

In May of 2013 AT&T added an arbitrary "administrative fee" of 61 cents per line per month to your bill. This fee is not part of the contract you signed and was imposed unilaterally. AT&T has stated that they will not let customers out of their contracts without charging an early termination fee or remove this charge because it is not a "rate increase" (even though you end up paying more each month).

Because of the waiver language in their contracts, customers cannot bring a class-action lawsuit to challenge this fee. It is also highly unlikely that any individual would sue AT&T for their relatively small annual damages—it would cost far more money to file a lawsuit than a person could possibly recover. Most customers grudgingly put up with the charge because it isn’t a lot of money over the lifetime of the contract—but it is a huge deal to AT&T, which generates over $500 million per year by plucking 61 cents per line per month from each customer.
